With its 2016 workshop on the Internet of Things, the GI/GMA/ITG Expert Committee on Real-Time Systems offers scientists, users, and manufacturers a forum to present new trends and developments on the following program focal points: real-time capability, functional safety, data protection and data security, secure data communication, interfaces, protocols and platforms, energy efficiency, service accounting and payment, augmented reality, age-appropriate assistance systems for self-determined living, and ambient assisted living. Reports on current applications and training round off the publication.
