Over the past two decades - since the publication of my "Technical Kinematics" - research in drive technology and kinematics, as well as the practical application of its results, has experienced an unprecedented rise. The emphasis on and demand for drive-synthetic methods is a distinctive feature of the drive-kinematic literature published during this time, which has primarily been reflected in journal articles, including in the supplement "Drive Technology" of the magazine "Mechanical Engineering/Operations." Book publications in the field of "Kinematic Gear Theory" generally adhered to the previously established presentation style during the mentioned period, particularly highlighting gear analysis for the examination of motion conditions in specified gears.
