Luisa Weidauer is addressing the growing demands on the nursing profession by developing innovative examination concepts. She is creating a form of competence-oriented interim examination and is utilizing existing approaches, such as performance assessments and the use of standardized patients. The core of the competence-oriented interim examination is the complete nursing action, which also takes into account problem recognition, planning, and reflection. In addition to curative measures, preventive, rehabilitative, and palliative aspects are considered, involving individuals of all age groups and in all life situations, with a particular focus on the nursing process and quality, as well as guidance, training, and counseling. Differentiated examination materials enable operationalization and implementation in various areas and facilities of healthcare.
