Schröder in his textbook and in his monumental work "The Genital Cycle of Women and Its Disorders" in the Veit-Stoeckel Handbook concerning menstrual disorders. Since our therapeutic measures must always be guided by etiological considerations, it seemed essential to me to particularly emphasize etiology in relation to therapy throughout. However, the various "minor ailments," whose causes are not always clear to us, also needed to be fully acknowledged, as they are often the subject of lively discussions.
