This textbook is application-oriented and does not provide a detailed presentation of theory. However, it does address important fundamentals of statistics and the SAS programming language that are crucial for understanding the applied SAS procedures. In two introductory chapters, the reader receives guidance on the statistical foundation of the experimental examples and how to import experimental data into SAS. The following 50 examples from practical experimentation are consistently structured: problem description, explanation of the SAS program, presentation of the key parts of the SAS output with interpretation of the results, further insights into the topic, and possibly cross-references to other examples. In most cases, textbook examples from older literature have been deliberately included, allowing the reader to compare the results with those presented there.
