"Lobby Work" is advocacy under the changed conditions of a media- and market-oriented society. The volume captures the wide range of new forms and actors who also operate advocacy as a business model. It examines, among other things, media-effective campaigns conducted by public affairs agencies, targeted mobilization of activists online by NGOs, and strategically planned influence by foundations. Lobby Work has little in common with the "good old days" of neo-corporatist interest representation.
