Product details

In recent years, research on science has largely focused on issues of organizational formation and management, methods for evaluating performance and quality, as well as the analysis of scientific micro-worlds. However, studies that critically examine the relationship between science and society from discourse, power, and field-theoretical perspectives have so far been conducted as independent individual projects. Although these contributions resonate in the respective societal areas addressed and provide a wealth of theoretical insights into science, the corresponding discussion has not yet been made visible in book form. This volume brings these perspectives together for the first time, thereby filling a gap in German-language science research.
