Antonia Langhof develops a differentiated conceptual and theoretical framework for (sociological) management research based on a communication-theoretical approach. This framework allows for the examination of the conditions and consequences of the resonance of management concepts in all their dimensions, from societal discourse to organizational adaptation and implementation. On this basis, empirically grounded answers are developed to the question of what factors contribute to the resonance of management concepts in a societal area such as humanitarian aid. In this context, economic profit is not intended, and processes of economization are observed with skepticism or even rejected for moral and political reasons.
