The book "Material Properties under Intensive Dynamic Loading" is the result of a collaboration between the Russian Federal Nuclear Center and the Los Alamos National Laboratory. It is based on a collection of lecture notes created by leading researchers from VNIIEF and presented to students at the Sarov Physical and Technical Institute. This revised and expanded version of the original notes has been published as a monograph and now serves as a textbook for courses on impact mechanics. The book aims to enhance the understanding of the physical and thermomechanical responses of materials under intense dynamic loads, which is of great significance in today's engineering science. It addresses complex material behaviors induced by various intense dynamic stresses, such as explosions or high-speed impacts.
