The book "Motions in the Solar Atmosphere" documents the proceedings of the summer school and workshop that took place from September 1 to 12, 1997, at the Solar Observatory Kanzelhöhe in Austria. This event brought together experts from various fields of solar physics as well as young scientists and students from ten countries. The summer school provided a platform for the exchange of knowledge and new research findings, while the accompanying workshop gave participants the opportunity to present their results to a broader audience.
