The book addresses the law of organ transplantation in cases involving foreign elements. In these instances, the regulations of private international law must be consulted first before applying the provisions on organ transplantation set forth by national law. The author comprehensively examines German private international law regarding organ transplantation for the first time, taking into account the new regulations of the European Parliament and Council's regulation on the law applicable to non-contractual obligations.
