The presentation provides an introduction to Pascal that is also understandable for beginners without computer science knowledge. It starts from the necessity that it is not enough to simply explain the formalization process associated with programming. Rather, the focus of the book is on a precise formulation and largely programming language-independent algorithmic solutions to problems. In this way, the principles of writing good Pascal programs are illustrated.
