The dynamics of drive systems is a research focus in mechanical and plant engineering in Germany. Many dissertations and habilitations from the last three decades address the numerical calculation and control of vibrations in rotors and drive systems of various kinds. This book summarizes some of the works, measurements, and calculations. It is aimed at engineering professionals, assistants, and students, and seeks to illustrate the diversity of the topic, from theory to calculation and numerics, as well as measurement and diagnosis of vibrations, through selected components and examples.
