Product details

The reliable supply of electrical energy to a highly technological society is of enormous importance. The demand for uninterrupted power is constantly growing; at the same time, there are requirements for cost-effectiveness, efficiency, fairness in pricing, and, last but not least, environmental protection. Additionally, fundamentally changed legal frameworks in Germany and Europe pose significant challenges for network operators: the networks must be expanded in the long term to ensure a European-wide electricity internal market. In the short to medium term, coordination with other network operators must ensure that, despite new transport functions of the networks, serious power outages are avoided. This study presents the result of interdisciplinary research that significantly influences the causes of instabilities driven by the trend.
