Product details
Michael Höhne examines the tourist understanding of nature and explores questions such as what relaxation in nature looks like and how nature is practically produced and communicatively processed. To this end, he undertakes an interdisciplinary historical and systematic reconstruction of nature semantics and applies these to tourism as a medium for experiencing nature. In a qualitative-empirical study, he analyzes the appeal of nature experience and perception using two examples: the vacation destination of Hawai'i and the English Garden in Munich.
