The book "Ubiquitous Computing and Ambient Intelligence: Context-Awareness and Context-Driven Interaction" is a collection of selected research papers presented at the 7th International Conference on Ubiquitous Computing and Ambient Intelligence (UCAmI 2013). This conference took place in December 2013 in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. The 46 submitted research papers, along with 8 additional contributions from the UrbAI 2013 workshop, were carefully reviewed and selected. The contributions are organized into thematic sections that address human interaction in ambient intelligence, ICT instrumentation and middleware support for intelligent environments and objects, as well as the adaptation of intelligence to the environment and the key application areas of ambient intelligence. This academic book provides valuable insights into current developments and challenges in this innovative research field.
