Today, extensive standard works on teaching methods can be found for most subjects, but there is no comparable literature for the subject of computer science. However, a look at the educational plans of all federal states shows that computer science is set to establish itself as a subject in secondary levels I and II. This book aims to contribute to closing this gap in computer science didactics. Teaching methods are crucial for learning success in the classroom and form the focal point of this book. A teaching method is understood as a clearly defined, conceptually separable, independent, albeit integrated, component of teaching. Examples of this understanding of teaching methods include the advantages and disadvantages of problem-oriented teaching and discovery learning.
