Mathematics, computer science, natural sciences (biology, chemistry, physics), and technology - for years there has been a lively public discussion about these so-called STEM subjects. The knowledge imparted in STEM fields is an essential foundation for training the skilled workers that are urgently needed in Germany. Therefore, both politics and industry are calling for a greater emphasis on these subjects, as well as an improvement in the quality of teaching. This book presents 20 different scientifically grounded methods for STEM education and explains the role of digital media as a cross-disciplinary element. The interdisciplinary perspective provides teachers with a comprehensive overview of the various options and approaches for their own teaching. For each of the presented methods, the authors provide scientifically based information.
