These vibrations can either cause usability issues that significantly impair user comfort or lead to safety problems. The aim of this book is to provide construction and environmental engineers with practical guidelines for addressing vibration issues. Dynamic influences are considered from the following sources of vibration: movements of the human body, rotating, oscillating, and striking machines, wind flow, road traffic, and railways.
