Photovoltaic companies are subject to international competitive pressure for technological knowledge. The service-dominant logic (SDL) in marketing views knowledge as a source of competitive advantage; actors acquire knowledge through resource integration in value networks. However, strategic recommendations in networks often occur based on individually considered network levels. Marc Banaszak demonstrates, in light of SDL and with quantitative-empirical findings, that all actors in a value network integrate resources and contribute to new knowledge. He examines a network in the photovoltaic sector consisting of 115 manufacturing companies and 318 partners from industry and research. With his original findings, he makes a significant contribution to the analysis of value creation networks and provides interesting insights for network actors.
