Social business requires collaborative enterprises where work and learning come together again. Based on an analysis of the anticipated development of the conditions of the working world and corporate learning systems in the future, this work derives the requirements for innovative competence development systems incorporating e-learning, blended learning, social learning, and workplace learning. It provides practical solution concepts and decision-making aids for the development and implementation of future-oriented learning systems with the aim of initiating a culture of collaborative work and learning in the workplace.
