The authors of this study analyze the future viability of Waldorf schools based on three focal points: "Organizational Culture and Values," "Leadership and Management," and "Learning and Organizational Development." The foundation of this investigation is an empirical survey of managing directors at German Waldorf schools. The empirical results of the analysis are linked to current approaches from business administration regarding successful corporate management, and the examined Waldorf schools are viewed from an organizational theory perspective to identify weaknesses in the current self-administration and provide insights for a future-oriented and successful design of school administration work.
