The Other World War: The Axis powers are on the defensive. Japan is losing island after island to the overwhelming Allies, and the Axis troops are already fighting on their own soil against the Western powers in Italy. With a gigantic military force, the USA, Great Britain, and the Commonwealth have stormed the southern part of Fortress Europe. However, the enemy attack has become bogged down in Italy; with great difficulty, the Axis troops can hold their positions. By now, both sides of the war are aware: Italy is a dead end, and there is no way from there to Central Europe. Therefore, since the end of 1943, all eyes have been on France. There, the decisive Allied invasion is to take place, and it must be repelled, or the war is lost for Germany.
