Anne-Marie Schalk examines how established leadership rules and principles can effectively influence the behavior of leaders within an organization and lead to the internalization and reproduction of standardized behaviors. She demonstrates that leadership concepts primarily serve to meet the demands arising from the leadership process and the economic and societal changes, aligning the behavior of leaders accordingly. The author outlines the complexity of the topic of behavior and illustrates the challenges of influencing behavior through leadership concepts using the example of two selected elements of a leadership concept: leadership principles and shop floor management.
