Angelika Schwabe-Kratochwil (1950 in Bielefeld) is a German botanist and university lecturer. Angelika Schwabe studied biology and geography at the University of Freiburg. Her primary interest was in vegetation science, which she was introduced to by her first plant sociology teacher, Reinhold Tüxen. One of her first studies in this field was conducted using one of the classical plant sociology methods, the permanent plot study, with the object of her research being the salt marshes of the island of Trischen.
