Product details

South Tyrol is one of the most popular hiking regions in the Alps. The Vinschgau Valley, located at the tripoint of Italy, Switzerland, and Austria, is appreciated by many hikers for its wide range of hiking trails of varying difficulty levels. The good accessibility of public transport allows for many long-distance hikes. The Upper Vinschgau begins at the Reschen Pass on the Austrian border and stretches down along the Adige River to Prad. After an introduction to the region and the hiking infrastructure, the authors describe 25 day hikes of different difficulty levels in the Vinschgau. In selecting the routes, the authors consciously focused on diversity: sometimes cultural highlights take center stage, other times it’s the beauty of the landscape, or simply meditative peace and relaxation, such as when hiking along the trails.
