From autumn 1913 to spring 1914, the designs for the nine colored windows in the first Goetheanum building in Dornach were created, executed as light engravings using a new glass cutting technique. The motifs were also used for the windows of the second Goetheanum after the first building was destroyed by fire on New Year's Eve 1922/23.
