The knowledge of worm diseases has by no means become secondary or even unnecessary with the decline of worm epidemics. Extensive clinical experiences from the war period and the years immediately following have shown the extent to which worm infestations can occur and the severe disease patterns they can trigger. However, danger threatens every worm carrier, regardless of the current epidemiological spread of worm diseases, and the detection of infestations, especially their complications, becomes increasingly difficult the rarer such infections are encountered by individual doctors. The fate of the patient often depends on the experience and knowledge of the first doctor called. Therefore, this presentation places particular emphasis on describing the clinical manifestations, highlighting the skin changes.
