In the summer of 1972, as Americans bomb North Vietnam, Ernst, who calls himself Mick after his idol from the Rolling Stones, prepares for the revolution with his friends at the beach resort. While his father is mostly busy in the garage and his mother fills the freezer to the brim, Mick is supposed to study for his French retake but gets distracted by two girls he has never seen at the beach before. However, this summer ultimately ends in disaster not only for Candy, the youngest of the friends. Kurt Palm tells the story of how long a summer can feel in the provinces of Austria and how short and relentless life can be.
