Martha Stevens investigates the success factors for communication with digital natives in the areas of communication and product characteristics. From these success factors and other results of her research, the author derives relevant insights; among these are a typology of digital natives, consequences of the success factors for the strategic design of the future, as well as implications for practice and recommendations for consumer goods manufacturers. The typology outlines three types of digital natives. The implications for practice refer to the previously developed typology and are described for each individual type. Finally, a look ahead is provided on further research approaches that may arise from the developed system of causal relationships.
