The revised edition of the Stratego series offers exercises for spelling that enable students in lower secondary education to acquire spelling strategies in a targeted and independent manner. Independent learning is promoted through fundamental working techniques of spelling instruction (looking up, finding and correcting errors, word lists, copying, partner dictation). Self-assessment of learning success is ensured for students both through the included answer section and through competency checks at the end of a practice unit. To accommodate the increasingly heterogeneous student body, differentiation tasks are provided in some areas for higher-performing students. Each volume includes a brief explanation of the series' concept, aimed at both teachers and students.
