One of the primary intentions of structural anthropology is to discover relationships between the concepts that describe the phenomena of society, which are not anecdotal coincidences but rather exhibit a systematic nature, revealing an insightful coherence behind them. This is precisely what is new about this type of anthropological research: attributing a connection and mutual interdependence to the phenomena of various fields such as ecology, economy, politics, law, philosophy, religion, art, cuisine, etc., which specialized particularism tends to treat as isolated blocks. These phenomena are woven into the functional network of a society, tied together by a consistent logic.
