A manual for crisis intervention workers and psychosocial professionals. The intervention model of needs- and resource-oriented psychosocial support for those affected in the acute phase following traumatic events, such as the sudden death or serious injury of loved ones, is presented step by step and explained through numerous case examples. The intervention model is based on over 10 years of crisis intervention experience from the professional support service of the ÖRK Tirol and the research work of the emergency psychology working group at the University of Innsbruck.
