In ancient times, many people carried a little handbook of life wisdom with them. In it, they recorded essential insights that arose from their lives, thoughts, and dialogues, which should not be left to forgetfulness. Thus, the knowledge for a good life - both reminding and admonishing - was always at hand. The Landecker Handbook - Art of Living in Care was created as part of the project Caring Community in Life and Death, based on conversations with people who care for their relatives at home or who are involved in volunteer hospice work. These conversations revolved around questions such as: What does it mean to care for oneself and others at the end of life, during serious illness, and in grief? And what general insights for a good life can be gained from this? The life experience and wisdom of caring individuals is reflected in this work.
