"Schauplatz Kultur - Zentraleuropa" explores key topics in cultural studies from a transdisciplinary and international perspective. The four main topics—culture, memory, identity; plurality, transnationality, postcolonialism; modernity, postmodernity, globalization; and performance, representation, theatre—focus on Central Europe and its cultural diversity. Using Central Europe as a starting point, it addresses social challenges that are currently of great relevance in both the European and global contexts.
