Product details

Beate Guldenschuh, a psychologist who has been working for years on the development, treatment, and healing of eating disorders, examines the recovery process of 56 women who have previously suffered from anorexia and/or bulimia. Through detailed interviews with the affected individuals, which she also presents in their own words, the author analyzes both the path out of the illness and raises questions about relapses and the possibility of complete healing. Beate Guldenschuh's work aims to provide those affected, their families, and interested parties with a new insight into the unfortunately highly relevant topic of eating disorders and to encourage them to actively seek ways out of the illness. Key topics include: How do former sufferers explain the recovery process? Do former sufferers believe in complete healing? What challenges do former sufferers identify?.
