"Studies on the Memorial Tradition in Early Medieval Paris" by Andrea Decker-Heuer offers a comprehensive analysis of the sources that document Paris as a center of memorial tradition in the West Frankish Kingdom since the 9th century. The work examines significant liturgical documents, including sacramentaries and necrologies, which provide important insights into the practice of prayer remembrance and the roles of clergy and laity in this context. Notably, the liturgical diptych, considered unique in the western part of the kingdom, and the Usuard necrology, one of the oldest necrological records, are highlighted.
