Between the Teutoburg Forest and the Sauerland, the 100 Castles Route winds through the Münsterland, passing by the Westphalian Versailles of Nordkirchen and romantic water castles. The cultural center in the land of horse breeding is Münster, known not only for the crime series "Tatort" filmed there. Here, visitors are drawn to the works of the Baroque master builder Johann Conrad Schlaun, such as the castle and the Erbdrostenhof, as well as the Gothic town hall, the Prinzipalmarkt, the cathedral, and St. Lambert's Church.
