The Lusatia, mid-19th century. A storm rages over the Branitz Palace Park. As an enthusiastic landscape architect, Prince Pückler is worried and sends his gardeners out the next morning. They are to report back to him whether any trees were damaged. During their rounds, they make a gruesome discovery: a dead boy is hanging in the roots of an uprooted tree. His body is covered in bloody wounds. Unrest arises in the village, and the people develop adventurous theories. Could the old prince have something to do with the crime?.
