"Adjacent Metals" contains a selection of Friederike Mayröcker's poems from over thirty years, curated and accompanied by a foreword by Thomas Kling. The non-chronological arrangement primarily features poetry from her poetry collections, starting with the striking cycle "Death by Muses," which named her first poetry book in 1966. A significant focus of the adjacent metals lies in the poems from the 1980s from "Winterglück," perhaps the most important poetry collection of the Grande Dame of contemporary German poetry.
