In October 2017, the Russian Revolution will mark its 100th anniversary. This is a sufficient reason to examine the events of 1917 through the lens of 1968 and to establish a relationship of mutual critique between the two revolutions. The book analyzes revolutionary gender relations as those that are established between privacy and publicness, "close relationships" and "distant relationships" - the gender of the revolution.
