"Honoring Age" is a comprehensive study that has emerged from a long-term research project. This work analyzes a wide range of sources, including guides, etiquette books, children's literature, and moral tales. Family magazines, sermon texts, and materials on social policy for the elderly, as well as biographical literature, have also been included in the investigation. The aim of the study is to develop a deeper understanding of societal perceptions of aging and to illuminate the various facets that shape the experience of growing older. The analysis provides valuable insights into the cultural and social aspects of aging and contributes to the discussion about the role of age in society.
