The present book by Ludolf Herbst aims to examine these processes. War and racial politics are at the center of this investigation. However, they are not viewed in isolation but are linked to significant domestic political and social developments. This is based on the assumption that the extraordinary dynamics with which Nazi Germany operated in foreign and racial policy were significantly shaped by these corresponding areas.
