Heinrich Archer, known as Hades, the criminal mastermind of Sydney, is under threat. He asks Detective Frank Bennett, the colleague of his daughter Eden, for discreet help, as the clues could lead deep into Hades' fascinating and violent past. At the same time, Eden, a top detective in the homicide department with a rare talent for tracking down and taking down criminals, has an extremely difficult case: three girls have gone missing, and the trail leads her to an abandoned farm where a serial killer lurks. She goes undercover into a commune there, a pitch-black, dangerous parallel universe filled with murderers and rapists. She must use all her remarkable skills to survive. Additionally, her relationship with her partner Bennett is complicated; both are traumatized, and Bennett is currently struggling with alcohol and drugs.
