This volume contains six studies on the works of Foucault and the development of his thought. It serves as the first comprehensive presentation that not only includes the two volumes "The Use of Pleasures" and "The Care of Self," which were published shortly before Foucault's death, but also encompasses his very last works, including the unpublished manuscript of the fourth volume of "Sexuality and Truth," which traces the late antique transformation of the culture of the self and the aesthetics of existence to the Christian mortification of the flesh.
