Product details

Centuries take about another one and a half decades to die. In 1814/15, with the Congress of Vienna, the 18th century came to an end. The 19th century died in 1914. In 2014/15, it is finally time for the 20th century to die - the era characterized by the frenzy of nationalism and its ongoing consequences. The world has long since become a transnational entity; there is nothing of significance that can be regulated within national borders or stopped at national boundaries. Even though Germany celebrated its national rebirth in 1989, rediscovered cheerful patriotism during the 2006 World Cup, and aggressively and proudly restored old nationalist clichés following the Greek debt crisis starting in 2010 - nations will die. If reality does not hold, this idea will seize the masses.
