A properly understood humanism is the answer to the current disorder of the world - this is the central thesis of the new book by Julian Nida-Rümelin, who understands "humanism" as far more than just a mindset or an outdated relic of long-gone times. Humanism is primarily a practice of humanity and thus the only hope for a peaceful, just, and prosperous global society of the future. In order for humanism to regain its influential power, which it held in certain phases of world history, it must be revitalized and fundamentally renewed.
