Product details
"Then I went back into the house and wrote: 'It is midnight. The rain lashes against the windows.' It was not midnight. It was not raining." Thus ends the novel Molloy, the first part of a trilogy that continues with Malone Dies and concludes with the novel The Unnamable. The trilogy, first published between 1951 and 1953, is in many ways an epic parallel to Beckett's world-famous play Waiting for Godot. Here, too, there is no real plot; rather, a situation becomes real: a dreadful vision of our world, where man begins to shrink and falls prey to decay or lies dying, thrown back upon his innermost self, or vegetates without a story in search of rest and silence, yet still has the desire to bear witness.
