As the capitalist mode of production has lost its taken-for-granted status in recent years, the purely individualistic concept of freedom and, with it, the entire normative framework of liberalism have also come under crisis. Karl Marx's social critique still offers attractive alternatives. The contributions in this volume systematically discuss the relevance, significance, and limitations of Marx's philosophy.
