The textbook "Supervision" by Astrid Schreyögg has long been established as a standard work. In addition to its systematic approach and clarity, it is particularly distinguished by its conceptual framework: A multitude of supervision-relevant (organizational) theories and methods are integrated into a coherent, comprehensive approach. Psychoanalysis and communication theory are included, as well as methodological elements from Gestalt therapy and psychodrama. The 5th edition is supplemented by a new chapter on personnel development, which also addresses the distinctions between supervision and other currently popular consulting formats, such as coaching.
